Birds of a Feather...

Box Boy Richard Gage is flush with excitement after making a presentation. Where? Let's let him tell us:

AE911Truth was flown into Jamaica earlier this month to present the evidence for the explosive destruction of the three WTC skyscrapers to their top 250 associates. Why? Wealth Masters International is a company of 20,000 associates seeking to build and maintain their wealth in the face of a declining economy and the largest wealth transfer in history.

So I Googled Wealth Masters International, and look at two of the related searches that Google suggests:

Hmmmm, "scam" and "rip off"? Those certainly are not good signs. Here's a review of the company, with some warnings, and a 2-star (out of a possible 5 stars) rating:

The Wealth Masters business is promoted as a direct sales model, but the compensation plan is a multi-level plan consisting of only two levels. Combined with the quota requirement to continuously recruit new members in order to continue to receive the second level income precludes the ability to build a real business that will provide a residual income.

Reading the review, it appears that you have to pay for seminars that teach some financial management skills. The way you earn money is by selling others on taking those same seminars.

Box Boy reports his usual terrific results:

Before the presentation to 250 attendees, 55 believed the Official Conspiracy Theory, which believes that the planes and fires brought down the towers, and 40 were unsure. Afterwards none believed the OCT and only 7 were unsure.

It's certainly interesting to learn that even before the presentation, there were 155 crackpots in the audience.

It be Thermite!!!

The nutters over on 911 Flogger are all excited that they have discovered more evidence of thermite in the World Trade Center, molten metal pouring out of the building. Nevermind that if you pay attention to what is pouring out of the building, it is light enough that it actually floats away in the breeze. That be some really light thermite!

Greatest. Thread. Evah!

Over at Above Top Secret, a commenter proposes banning all posters who have some form of mental illness. And suddenly we learn that there are more nuts over there than in a Sam's Club jar of Skippy. It starts with this comment:

People with mental illnesses have a lot more to contribute to society than so called 'normal' people.

More? Come on! I can see arguing that they have something to contribute, sure. As is pointed out in that post, some famous and talented people in history have had mental problems. But they are the exception, not the rule. And it continues:

I have many times OPENLY disclosed my legal mental state AKA Legally Insane on ATS and BTS and Mutter [when it existed] and Chat... people often are shocked by my extreme ideas and are not past posting "Are You Crazy???"

Here's an interesting thought for you...I have openly stated that I hear voices 24/7 somewhere in the thread that is first linked in my signature...in fact, I think I have been targeted for over a decade now.

Should I be banned?

And that one is posted by a moderater over there!

A Truther History of Debates

Over two years ago Mark Roberts from the JREF Forum debated ae911 founder Richard Gage, an event which despite their bravado did not merit a mention in any truther source I could find. Now it finally is brought up in this history of 9/11 conspiracy debates on the ae911 website.

Roberts could barely contain his hostility towards Gage, accusing him of lying several times and impugning his motives. The ill will Roberts brings to the discussion is evident in many of his online posts where he goes by the name of “Gravy.” One such post on a James Randi Educational Forum refers to “Gage and his gang of lazy, lying, despicable creeps,” which indicates that he doesn’t just disagree with his opposition; he despises them.

The article also points out that, unwittingly I presume, that despite Gage's constant claim to be a scientist and not a conspiracy theorist, he stills buys into all the long ago debunked truther kool aid.

Shermer opened saying he thought the government’s official inquiries did a fairly good job and argued that Osama bin Laden and Al Qaeda said they did it and intended to do it again. Gage, uncharacteristically took the bait this time and countered that the photograph did not look at all like bin Laden and that Bin Laden claimed that he it was not responsible.

Nevermind that this was long ago shown to be an issue of the conversion of the video between PAL and NTSC.

And believe it or not, Gage does a David Ray Griffin and insists the hijackers are still alive.

Coiro asked about the possibility of the planes having been remotely controlled. Gage said it was possible but beyond the scope of AE911Truth. He mentioned the named suspects who turned up alive after being accused of murder and suicide. On this point Shermer revealed a dismissive approach to what Gage was saying. Shermer said Americans easily confuse Middle Eastern names and that those people were all dead. “That claim has been looked into. None of those people have been interviewed,” Shermer said.

BBC, however, carried a story that said an accused hijacker, Waleed Al Shehri, was protesting the accusation in Morocco and has talked with journalists.

The BBC, however, also carried a story in which they corrected their earlier inaccurate one.

Over at AE911Truth.info. He takes on Dwain Deets's 7 Problems with Building 7 here. Just keep browsing, plenty of good debunking of Gage's gaggle.

Will These Idiots Make Up Their Alleged Minds?

Over at 9-11 Flogger the latest claim is:

It Fell in Silence: The Collapse of World Trade Center 7

Whatever happened to Kevin McPadden's "ba-BOOM!"

Of course, that's not quite what "in silence" is supposed to mean in this particular instance. But why should the Troofers be the only ones allowed to quote-mine?

Good Article on Conspiracy Theories

At (gasp) the Huffington Post.

Many of these popularizers received their lofty titles from "think tanks" or "institutes" that are run out of somebody's PO box or den. Almost none of them have credentials or professional experience in the field they're holding forth on -- and the ones that do have relevant qualifications are more often than not regarded as embarrassments by their colleagues. And so it happens that David Ray Griffin, the leading author of books on the 9/11 conspiracy, isn't an aviation expert, physicist, structural engineer, or authority on terrorism; he's a retired theology professor who asks his readers to take a lot on faith.

Despite the lack of academic or professional cred (or perhaps because of it), the folks who promote conspiracy theories go overboard to put a thick veneer of scholarship on their claims. Books and essays are ostentatiously footnoted; but the references typically link back to even more obscure conspiracy publications with even flimsier evidence -- or else to other works written by the same author, in a self-reinforcing loop.

Yep. Remember that recent DRG article that repeated the claim that several of the hijackers were alive? Well, Grifter has learned from past mistakes; instead of linking the BBC article from 2001, which now has the correction appended, he instead referenced The New Pearl Harbor.

Worth the read.

Mr Deets Goes To Town

Dwain Deets, one of the geese in Gage's gaggle, has launched a site called 7 Problems with Building 7. It's about as bad as you might expect. Problem 1:

No plane struck the 47-story World Trade Center skyscraper (Building 7). More on no plane.

Ooooh, mysterious! No plane struck St. Nick's cathedral either. Or, you know, WTC 3, 4, 5, or 6. And it doesn't get better; check out #2:

No evidence of fires in Building 7 for the first 100 minutes after being struck by debris from Tower 1. (Yet fire from the debris is the official explanation for building collapse.)

No evidence? These retards continually refer to the eyewitness testimony about "explosions", but the minute we talk about WTC-7, suddenly they are not interested in what the firefighters saw.

Or #4:

No mainstream media covered the building collapse other than that first day, when Dan Rather said on network TV, "For the third time today, it's reminiscent of those pictures we've all seen too much... when a building was deliberately destroyed by well-placed dynamite to knock it down."

Key word in there: Reminiscent. As usual, the Troofers are unable to recognize analogies when they see them.

The Return of Jason Robo

Remember the idiot who caused a flight to be delayed by putting up "9-11 Was an Inside Job" stickers on the plane? Well, he's back with a whiny post at Flogger on how mean everybody was to him:

The power to the belt and all nearby lighting was cut off as they encircled me. I was huddled around as some of them asked, “You're the sticker guy right? Jason Robo?” I didn't respond as another barked, “get him up!” as I was quickly seized by the arms, lifted up and thrown against the sides of the baggage claim.

I didn't exactly go limp and initially flexed my muscles to prevent the twisting of my limbs. The goons muttered to me to resist and how much they would love that. I could feel a surge of bad vibes as I thought of the boy in Ozark, Missouri tased 19 times while he inexplicably lay with a broken back on the shoulder of a freeway beneath an overpass. This was motivation enough to submit at the time.

They lifted me up and started taking me away, I asked where they were taking me, if I was under arrest and on what charge. Not being read my rights or informed of any charge I then proclaimed that the arrest was a joke as I was thrown in the back of a cruiser. The situation made me a bit uneasy with my understanding of the Military Commissions Act and other supposed law that allowed me to be declared an enemy combatant, disappeared, subject to extreme rendition, torture and even death without anyone ever learning my fate.

If you don't deserve it, Jason, who does? Unfortunately, as you can probably guess, his understanding of the Military Commissions Act was flawed.

When I arrived at court my lawyer informed me that the prosecution was willing to settle. It was a dismissal based upon not getting in trouble in between then and my trial date, July 8, six months from then. Unable to sustain a drawn out legal battle without more donations I conceded to the terms, somewhat regrettably so. It did not seem that any discussion of the events of September 11, 2001 would be allowed in the court room. Perhaps if that was the case I would have had to live with my grandmother to deal with a trial. I don't like settlements, but financially I couldn't bear the cost.

However, as you can probably guess, the moron did not manage to keep out of trouble:

The fun wasn't over yet though and on my flight home from Boston to San Francisco I raised the attention of security again on my first short connecting flight to Pittsburgh. I was reading the book “The Big Wedding” by Sander Hicks on the intelligence network connections that were involved in the events of 9/11/2010. Flight 93 was mentioned in the book, which had a debris field characteristic of being shot down by a missile rather than crashing. The plane went down in Pennsylvania outside of Shanksville.

I did not have a clue of the geography in the area so it seemed a completely innocent question to ask the flight attendant. On some flights there is a monitor up with the location on a map showing the progress of the flight. The young lady who fielded my inquiry, half an hour before landing in Pittsburgh, had no clue what Flight 93 was or even heard of Shanksville. At the mention of 9/11 her face transformed from a blank stare to being clearly alarmed. I was unconvincingly assured that she would find out the answer as she hurried away.

It was not long after that the captain came over the speaker telling the passengers to make sure they are prepared for a possible emergency landing in Pittsburgh. He told us that the brakes were not working, but there was two backup brake systems and assured us we will likely be okay. As we landed on the runway there was a wide array of emergency personnel. Is this a coincidence? I am too educated to assume that it was.

As soon as we docked at the gate I was swiftly escorted off the aircraft by Pennsylvania State Troopers and TSA officials. It will likely be the only time in my life that I am the first person off the plane. I was not taken into holding of any sort but isolated in the terminal and surrounded by a dozen plus security agents from various entities. They questioned me as to what I said to the flight attendant and I told them exactly what happened.

No charges were filed so Robo's earlier charges were dismissed. But the freaking retard shows no signs of remorse for all the people he frightened and inconvenienced.

Gold Gets Off

But forgets to dedicate his acquittal to the family members.

Cindy told me a couple of times before the trial that it was going to be boring, and it was. The only “excitement” came when Elaine, Laflora, and Cindy were allowed to testify. Everyone did great. When Casey was brought up, Cindy started to cry. I leaned over to Ann Wilcox (one of our attorneys, Mark Goldstone was the other), and said I want to testify. I wanted to come to the aid of Cindy because I was angry that she was made to cry, and the thought, “WTF?!? Hasn’t she been through enough already?” went through my mind. I was told that my testifying wouldn’t do any good, so I declined. I’m glad I didn’t testify, because if I did, I most assuredly would have been found guilty. I wanted to say, “yes, I crossed the police line, but that’s because the police were manhandling Cindy, and I wanted to keep an eye on her.” I think the only reason I got off was because there was no video of me going under the police line. If I did testify, I would have probably ruined it for everyone else.

Good thing the lawyer the NWO assigned to the case didn't let him testify, eh?

Just One of the AE 9-11 Troof Engineers

Uncle Fetzer was griping about the Wikipedia entry on his fruitcake group, and cited an engineer who had joined his group over Jones' jerks.

I was sad to see the breakup of Scholars for 911 truth, but after watching this 14 hour DVD set I chose to join Fetzer's group just to take a stand for the side of the fence that is more in line with my inclination towards free and open thinking and research.

Since I am an engineer I also chose to join Architects and Engineers for 911 Truth, even though they have a very narrow focus.

The letter was signed T. Mark Hightower. So I thought I'd Google Mr Hightower and see what I came up with. The third result was his page on the We Are Change NY meetup group. It's not hard to see what he's talking about when he gripes about the narrow focus of Gage's gaggle:

To powerful Jews and their dupes, the whole truth about 9/11 is like sodomy in the synagogue, exposing it is a million times greater sin than committing it. This analogy inspired by revisionisthistory.org and rediscover911.com

Revisionist History is one of those sites on the evil Jooos, while Rediscover 9-11 is a site that contends that those evil Jooos did 9-11.

It is Disinfo about Disinfo!

Over on 9/11 Flogger it has been announced that the CIT no-plane kooks are following in the footsteps of David Ray Griffin and touring Europe. This of course has woken up their sleepy little burg and led to the usual battles over whether they are government disinfo plants.

As part of this argument someone posted a video called the CIT-Deception mocking them, but ironically they included the audio of me lecturing Jason Bermas about the book Firefight. The ironic thing is though, Bermas is not in any way affiliated with the CIT kooks, he belongs to the more mainstream part of the kookery!

Update: This is the original video that they lifted the audio of me from.

Firedoglake Publishes Troofer Diary

It's the usual mixture of idiocy and horse manure:

Correcting our flawed judgment of the 9/11 events nine years later is not an easy task; raising doubt about the official story challenges assumptions and beliefs that have taken hold in our innermost core. But once we see with new eyes, constructing a new peaceful world becomes possible. Professor David Ray Griffin has made it less hard to see through the lies and propaganda by painstakingly excavating all the facts that are recoverable about 9/11, and then juxtaposing them with details of the official story in his article, "Did 9/11 Justify the War in Afghanistan?" Professor Griffin calls the war in Afghanistan "an abomination," and unjustifiable.

Grifter himself is an abomination, and his claims are unjustifiable. Remember, his article was the one where he repeated the fatuous and fat-headed argument that the flight manifests didn't include the hijackers. As I have pointed out in the past, this is clearly one of the strangest claims the Troofers could make. What do they think happened? Something like this:

Airline company secretary: Sir, we've printed out the flight manifests as you requested, but there's one problem. Apparently none of the hijackers were on board the planes.

Airline company executive: Release them anyway. Nobody will notice other than a few conspiracy theorists.

I mean, seriously. It's one of those "sacred list" arguments; the New World Order was happy to kill 3,000 people on 9-11 but when it came time to add hijackers names to the flight manifests, they suddenly balked?

It will be interesting to see if Jane Hamsher's site becomes Troofer Central after this. The comments are generally supportive of the conspiracy theorizing.

So Many Mistakes, Just One Post...

This post almost seems like one of those old pictures where you were supposed to circle all the mistakes.

The officials couldn’t find the airplanes’ “black boxes” containing flight information, yet they found a paper passport presumably owned by one of the Middle Eastern highjackers—named on a list the FBI compiled with amazing speed, yet no similar names were on the original flight lists the airlines gave to CNN. The passport belonged to a Middle Eastern man, Mohammed Atta, a supposed devout and fanatic Muslim who ate pork, snorted coke, and rented prostitutes.

Let's see:

1. It wasn't Mohammed Atta's passport, it was Satam al-Suqami's.

2. The claims that he ate pork and snorted coke came from Amanda Keller who has since recanted her statement.

Then, some of the other highjackers turned up alive in various parts of the world objecting to having been accused of murder and suicide.

3. It's hijackers, not highjackers, and of course he links to the original BBC report without linking to the update.

We recently asked the FBI for a statement, and this is, as things stand, the closest thing we have to a definitive view: The FBI is confident that it has positively identified the nineteen hijackers responsible for the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Also, the 9/11 investigation was thoroughly reviewed by the National Commission on Terrorist Attacks Upon the United States and the House and Senate Joint Inquiry. Neither of these reviews ever raised the issue of doubt about the identity of the nineteen hijackers.

And what about the lack of military response? Where was the trillion plus dollar security system we US taxpayers paid for? Where were the scrambled jets from Andrews AFB right next to the Pentagon? What about the surface to air missiles that ring the Pentagon lawn?

4. Andrews AFB is not "right next to the Pentagon, and the surface to air missiles that ring the Pentagon lawn exist only in the alleged minds of Truthers.

Even key members of the 9-11 Commission thought the investigation was flawed. Chairman Lee Hamilton wrote in his book Without Precedent—that the 9/11 Commission was “set up to fail” by the Bush Administration. John Farmer, Senior Counsel to the 9/11 Commission, wrote on page four of his book, The Ground Truth: “At some level of government, at some point in time, there was an agreement not to tell the people the truth about what happened.” These are presumably the same people with whom the 9-11 Untruthers agree.

Why, yes, yes, I do agree with John Farmer. What did he tell Brad Friedman?

JF: Well, let me just say that I think the [9-11 Commission] report is, uh, extremely accurate, and- and sets forth the facts of 9/11. And we actually did point out in the report the discrepancies between the accounts that were given and what we actually found.

He mentions JREF, and notes this quote from Mark (Gravy) Roberts:
As an example, I ran across a reference by “Gravy” on a JREF forum which refers to “Gage and his gang of lazy, lying, despicable creeps.”

That's unfair of Gravy. I have seen no evidence that Gage and his gang are lazy.

Gage's New Consultant

Box Boy Richard Gage and Waterboy Kevin Ryan are teaming up to appear on Coast-to-Coast, the show that's usually about alien abductions and lizards ruling us all. They are to appear against some debunkers supposedly from JREF, although of course it's not really a JREF event, just forum members, including Dave Thomas, who has done some excellent debunking.

Gage even picked up a consultant, the brilliant and aptly named Winston Wu.

Hi all,
Richard Gage of AE911Truth.org and a team of scientists are scheduled to debate a team of JREF debunkers on the Coast to Coast program in the next few months. Gage has put me on the mailing list after reading my suggestions to him in how to debate the JREF crowd and which points to emphasize, because he would like me to be a consultant to his team. I am honored of course.

The debate is scheduled for July 31st. Gage is truly fortunate to have a razor-sharp mind like Wu's on his team:

It's too bad ciscop isn't here. He would love the group that Dave Thomas is president of, New Mexicans for Science and Reason (http://www.nmsr.org), since ciscop is mexican too. Why is it "new mexicans" though? Is there referring to Mexico or the state of New Mexico?

No, they're New Mexicans because they just became Mexicans. ;)

Al Qaeda Online

It will be interesting to see the Troofers' reaction to this:

Al-Qaeda has opened a new front in war on the West, launching its own English-language internet newspaper, which features articles such as "Make a Bomb in the Kitchen of Your Mom".

Talk about hitting your target market; one can imagine lots of Troofer jihadi getting grounded when they blow up Mom's kitchen.
